Show Notes

The founder Tony Mitchell stopped by the studio to share his heart in why he started RCC and Skidz.
Here is their mission
At Residential Community Care, it is our mission to provide the means to an independent life for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our staff strives to teach the necessary skills for our individuals to become as independent as possible utilizing true compassion and dedication in their well-being. We ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment, whether it be in a home environment or in our vocational setting, Skidz Reimagined.

With experience on the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities in Ohio, Tony Mitchell recognized the growing need for residential services and vocational training for individuals with developmental disabilities. With Warren County being one of the fastest-growing counties in Ohio for developmental disabilities, alongside the growing need for associated services, Tony started Residential Community Care (RCC) in 2008.

RCC quickly grew around its mission to build independence in individuals with disabilities. RCC focuses on building an enjoyable and beneficial experience centered around its individuals with staff that shows true dedication and care to RCC’s mission of supporting these individuals for an independent life. RCC focuses on four service areas: residential services in a home environment, transportation services, its day habilitation program, and its vocational habilitation program, Skidz Reimagined. The combination of these programs provides a robust experience centered around treating people like people.
